Title: Tour Ultra Sole Question
Post by: Willaby Rags on January 01, 2007, 11:28:39 PM
O.K.  I feel dumb... when I opened my tour ultras, there is no information on which sole is which, and when I go to the website they're talking about buckskin, oiled leather, etc...does anybody have an idiots guide using the numbers?  Which sole is which?

i'll list them from least slide to most slide:

soles

oiled leather( dark brown )
backskin ( orange )
deerskin ( cream )
chrome leather ( light tan )
felt ( dark grey )

heels

rippled( very deep angled grooves )
grooved
flat normal rubber
leather

additionally, there used to be a dimpled rubber heel that fit between the flat normal rubber heel and the grooved heel but it's been discontinued. there is a flat hard rubber heel that fits between the flat normal rubber heel and the leather heel. you can buy this from any pro shop. i believe these shoes also come with a set of "cleats" and a cleat sole which also allow for a more customized set up.
