Title: Tour Ultras vs. Sport Ultras

Doing this for a friend, I've personally got a pair of the Tour Ultras and love em.  My friend is getting back into bowling again after taking a couple years off.  He currently has a pair of dexter sst6s which after about a year and a half of use, have literally fallen apart (go figure, same thing happened to me and about 5 other friends but anyway...)  He's got the sole he usually uses superglued to the shoe, same with the heel, and he's actually got a sock he uses to slide with now.  He wants to use one of the dynothane shoes,  he's looking at the Sport Ultra's because their cheaper.  But Wants to know what all differences there are between the 2.  I don't know which model he's looking at so I can't help much there.  He figures he doesn't need the cleat sole which comes with the tour ultra's.  and he thinks that the synthetic leather sole with the leather heel will work well for him.  So anyway, any info on the differences would be nice.  And just for the record.  I did look at the dynothane website, and either I just didn't understand it or It just didn't have what I wanted

PS one of his main worries is about comfort if anybody has used both and could compare one to the other it'd be nice

Not much difference other than material and a couple of accessories.
I got the Tour Ultras Black because at the time I didn't care for the looks of the Sport series designs available.

I use one of the shoe bags to hold the heels/soles the other bag sits at home.
Never used the shoe horn.

I've got both - White/Silver Tour Ultras that are 3 years old and no problems yet (even still using the same shoelaces).  This is a very light and durable shoe as I bowl 5 nights a week.

I just recently bought the black/grey Sport Ultras.  A very nice shoe and just as light as the Tour Ultras.  They have the same quality and fit albeit different uppers.  The only gripe I have is when I first put the Sport Ultras on, I broke one of the shoelaces.

Either shoe will be just fine for him.  With either shoe, to give him another heel option, he might also try getting the adjust-a-heel from dynothane also.  I got one thru an old dynothane promotion when the anomaly came out a couple of years ago in the old ABC Bowling quarterly magazine.  It's just the flat hard heel with a one inch taken from the front of the heel where you put the same size piece sole material to further adjust the amount of slide.  It's really a nice addition, and you can use the same sole replacement pieces that dynothane sells as they wear out.
