Been using mine for approximately 7 years now. I find it good (incredible understatement). I have done a few surface adjustments and some resurfacing in those 7 years.

I have a 1/2 hp Vertex and I recommend you get that one for a few dollars more over the 1/3 hp and yes it is a great spinner for home use. Its all you will ever need to polish, resurface and clean your equipment.

Roto Grip.. King of Them All!!
Storm ain't so bad either!! LOL

I agree with jkiser.
1/3 hp was the only model they had when I bought mine. If I were to buy a new one today, I would opt for the 1/2 hp model, just to be on the safe side. If the money difference is significant for you, the 1/3 hp model, as I noted originally, has proved more than sufficient.

i have the 1/2 hp and its the best thing ive done instead by a ball.

Seriously, the best money as far as bowling is concerned that I ever spent, don't know what took me so long.
The ability to adjust the surface on any given ball to match a condition or just to see at what surface the given ball reacts best in general is tremendous.

Jeff,
how goes it? I'm in the same boat so to speak. Haven't had mine quite as long as you, but nonetheless it does a more than adequate job as you mention. I haven't mine mounted (sits in a Rubbermaid tub) and hasn't skipped a beat! (just looked at the price of them now and sheesh, paid nearly $70 less back then!) If I had the choice to do it over again (at the same price I bought mine
), I'd purchased the 1/2 hp. Overall more than satisfied with my 'investment'

Hey Vernon,
Life is just a bowl of cherries, if you like the pits ...
You can always make kirschwasser (cherry brandy).
I was being facetious. The 1/3 hp is way more than adequate.

Ahh, so that's what you're doing with your spare time, huh? (referring to the statement in bold) Say, are you doing the veggie garden again this year? If so, what are you planting?
Sorry for the hijack i.e. ball spinner -> gardening
