Im left Handed and I bought a pair of SST7 not long ago for 50.00 NEW on E-bay. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone is having trouble with sticking. I cant seem to find the right match up with sole and heel combo. My 13year old linds work better than these shoes. Please Help.

Try red heel, white sole. No way you can stick with them.

Actually the grey sole and red heel.

Also, if you still do not slide enough with this combo, put a little e z slide on and work it into the slides in an out of play area. If you do this, make sure to work it in good because other players will want to choke you if you leave excess on the lanes.

I switched from Lind's to Dexter recently, also.  I went with the SST 6 LE shoes, and I had the same problem.  The first change I found I had to make was with the heel.  The heel that came on the shoe would not slide nearly as much as I was used to with my Lind's.  The sole seemed fine, but I could feel the heel holding up the slide, at the line.  I switched to the red leather heel on the Dexter's, which made a world of difference.

At first, I was trying the Dexter's for a game or so, and then comparing them to my Lind's.  This did not work well.  When I would switch from the Lind's to Dexter's, I would stick.  When I would switch from the Dexter's back to the Lind's I would slide way too much.

Eventually, I just switched to the Dexter's and broke them in.  I found that after about 3-4 games of using just the Dexter's I either got used to them and/or they started sliding a little more.  My guess is it is a little of both.  The Dexter shoe soles do not seem to slide as easily when they are new.  Good luck.  It is frustrating when your footwork does not feel right.

Just wanted to share my experience.

Thanks
Chuck

Brad-

You'll find that Dexter soles and heels require a little work-in time.  I wear the tri-colored heel 99% of the time, and when I get a new one it sticks a bit more than when worn in.  You can accelerate the break-in process by using a wire brush on the soles and heels brushing from the toes straigh back toward the heel.  In time, I think you'll find Dexter shoes to be just fine.  Good luck!
