It all comes down to personal preference...totes take up a lot less space in the car as well as in the center.  There is little I hate more than tripping over those damned rollers...

My personal preference is totes.
When i'm bowling a tournament with changing lane assignments i can move thru crowds easier.
Also because I live in the North I deal with snow.
Easier to lug a couple of totes than it is to deal with snowy wheels in a bowling center.
With a couple of tote plusses you should be able to carry everything you need.
free agency it is until i get a better offer.   LMAO

They are correct if you are skipping pairs at tournaments Totes are the way to go.If it's just for you league night 4 ball Lane #1 bags are great 6 ball also.It snows here alot and with those big wheels never have a problem tracking thru the snow.
I use to have a couple of Lane #1 totes till some a** stole them at a PBA regional they worked great.Maybe we should put a bug in their ear about making totes again...

quote:
How does three totes laying on the floor take up less space then a six bag roller standing upright?  I hear people say all the time that they take up less space but I never understood.  I trip over peoples double ball bags and tiples  but the 4 and 6 ball bags are always nicely lined up agasint the wall out of the way.

For starters, the overall footprint is reduced.  Secondly, they can be stacked (I've had eight to ten balls in an area far smaller than even a four-ball roller could be placed).  Lastly, since I don't usually do a lot of sitting around in either league or tourneys, you usually will find my totes in the chair I would otherwise have occupied- it would take a lot of talent or alcohol to manage to trip over my stuff
