Wes Malott wrist tape
« on: August 12, 2009, 04:23:24 AM »
In most pictures you see of Wes (and Tommy Jones), they are wearing wrist tape

Does anyone know if this is specifically for bowling (and who makes it) or is it just tape you buy in a drug store?  Thanks.

Wes gave me a couple of rolls of stuff that he wasn't using anymore last summer and it wasn't tape made for bowling. If I remember correctly, the tape he gave me appeared to be some sort of medical tape. Its still in my accessory bag. As far as what he is using right now, not 100% sure but I bet its just regular tape.

The tape he uses is called Athletic Tape. I use it for my injury wrist with pre wrap so that the athletic tape does stick directly to your skin and hair. It is great for wrist support.

Athletic tape and you can get it at any sporting goods store (sports authority). comes in black, white, blue and red. Runs about $4 a roll. I've seen some people use it on their fingers.
