3G shoes
« on: September 07, 2007, 07:28:27 AM »
the "new" shoes from 3G are available to pba members at a discounted price. go to www.pba.com for all the details. i say "new" shoes but they are basically the "old" dynorooz models with new logos. i'm sure they'll be available to the general public soon as well. if these shoes are half as good as my dynorooz sport elite cabretta's i'll be a very satisfied customer.

i liked the quality and construction of my dexters too but the lack of finding the perfect slide and poor customer service made me a former customer. you'll love the comfort, slide options, and quality of the dynorooz( oops ! ) 3G shoes !

when you used the grey felt sole what heel did you use ?  i used the #8 buckskin slide sole and the old #5 smooth rubber heel----this was almost right. if i switched to the grey felt sole it was too much slide. if i went back to the buckskin sole and the red leather heel it too was too much slide. the #7 perforated buckskin sole and the #7 red leather heel wasn't too bad but it wasn't just right, know what i mean ?

i slide great in my dynorooz with the yellow deerskin sole and the hard flat rubber heel. if the approach is slicker i switch to the normal flat rubber heel. if the approach is sticky i switch to the leather heel. i feel the dynorooz( 3G ) shoes have the best variety of choices----5 soles and 7 heels.

"I did happen to find my perfect slide with Dexters which is the grey felt sole, now I just hope I can find it with the 3G/9G shoes. I hear everyone loves them."

Adam, buy the Dexter grey felt sole and cut it to fit the 3G/9G shoes. Works with any velcro equipped shoe.

I prefer the Dynorooz (3G) Tour Ultras over Dexter.  I tried the SST 6 LX's, but could not find the right slide.  I like using the cleat sole on the Dynorooz and adjusting the slide using the various inserts.  That way I can change the slide on a part of the sole or heel.  I find this helps me fine tune the slide to exactly the slide I want at each center I bowl in.

do the 3Gs come in a wide size? I have the Dexter 6s because of the wide width. The problem I have with the Dexters is the my right shoe (non sliding) came apart due to no toe cap and dragging the toe. I would like to try the 3G shoe but I need an EE width. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

i have wide feet----i wear the 4E width new balance tennis shoes as they run a little narrow. i wore the normal width on my dexter sst6 lx. i too thought the dynorooz( 3G ) shoes would be too narrow but i tried them and they've worked out great. try them on in a pro shop and see how they feel.

Well, I received my shoes today. They fit just fine for my wide feet. My dexters were much softer but overall these shoes are very well made. Kind of funny when I looked in the shoe cover and found the little tool in there that removes the little circle slides to still be labeled with ABS on it. I wore my shoes last night for my league and I must say I like these shoes. Very nice quality.
