what all do you bring in your access. bag?
« on: April 16, 2006, 12:24:03 PM »
Hi Gang,
Like the topic says "what all do you bring in your access. bag?" it seems that I use just about everything in my bag pretty much everytime I bowl due to my fingers and thumb swelling all of the time.

I thought I would ask this just incase someone came up with some really good ideas. The other night I needed something to clean up the glue in my thumb hole as I didnt have any of my alcohol wipes with me so I was asking around and it

really surprized me that only one person had some isopropyl and he was someone who I thought wouldn't have it and yet all of the top bowlers in there didn't have poop.

Btw, how in the heck does one get glue out from a thumb hole or finger grip? I tried some isopropyl since someone had said that this stuff is suppossed to be great for removing the glue residue and I couldn't get it out to save my life ;(

Thanks for your input...

inside my bag:
white tape
black tape
emery paper
small scissors
alcohol wipes
rosin bag
cotton swabs
super glue <never used it yet but if I didnt have it I would need it >

to answer ur question....if you are talking about glue residu on grips as the residu from the super glue used to glue the grips, rubbing alcohol will not work. You need acitone for that.

1 inch white tape
1 inch black tape
rosin
easy slide
Wave black tape (quick release tape)
piece of 1200 sandpaper for thumb hole
turbo thumb tape (beige)
scissor
nail clipper
wire brush
5 Dynorooz interchangeable heels
3 Dynorooz interchangeable soles
Microfiber Towel
ebonite react/r glove
Ultimate ball cleaner
Kneed it
pack of columbia tape residoo remover

Sorry about the confusion. I meant the glue residue from tape after one pulls it out for whatever reason.

Thanks so much BowlerKidR for the tip although I used my wifes fingernail polish remover to remove the tape goo and WOW! its gone in two seconds.

You have no idea how long I have been battling that, lol. It always hits me at about the last game and so I have been just going nuts trying to remove that goo with those alcohol wipes.

What do you guys suggest for keeping the fingernail polish remover in without having to worry about the cap coming off?

One thing I carry that was not mentioned is chapstick.  Sounds odd, but when my thumb sticks, I rub a little bit on the back of the thumb and it does the trick.  Powders seem to cake up and cause more sticking for me so I stopped using them.

I use an old hand lotion bottle with a pull-up top.   I don't have to worry about losing the cap this way  In the corner of one of the pockets of my top bag (4-ball roller), the bottle stands upright so I don't have to worry about spills.

Drywall screen is great for sanding thumbholes....takes out material fast, doesn't clog up, and leaves a smooth surface...cut into 1" wide strips.....Al
