Ball Reviews Scratch Doubles - announcement
« on: August 09, 2007, 12:39:51 AM »
Well, I guess it's that time again.

The rules and stuff from the last couple of years are here:
http://www.bowlersresourcecenter.com/scratchdoubles/rules.htm

League will start on 9/9 (sunday).
No reporting Thanksgiving week, or Christmas/New Years weeks.

The week of March 30-April 5 will be the last week. Does that work for everyone?

This means for everyone to bowl everyone once (plus position rounds), the league will be limited to 24 teams of 2.

My partner is Glen Hershberger.

Please do not sign up unless you are sincerely willing to post EVERY WEEK. If you're not willing and/or able to do this, please leave the spot for someone else. I will enforce the late posting rule this year, and will NOT chase after anyone for scores. I'll leave that to your partners, after they see the dreaded 160 blind posted for a week or two.
You receive that blind for 2 weeks, you'll be replaced.

More information will be coming - in the meantime, please sign up as a team or an individual. I use a proven random method of pairing up individuals, so let's go for it!!

When the 48 spots are filled, I'll start a standby list, since we always need one.

Count me in, haven't bowled the house shot in a while, I'll probably be between 205 and 215.  I may need a partner, I'm not sure yet.

Pizzaguy's got a partner now.  Me.  Poor sap!

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

Which house you bowling at down there?

A lovely lil 10 lane house in Cottage Grove that puts down anything and everything from week to week.  High in that house last year was me at 720.  I believe there were only 3 700's last year in this nice lil house of pain.

You bowling at T & O this year Mike?

Unfortunately my teammates caught me at a weak moment and I consented to going back to T&O again.
Thought about moving to Shoreview but figured i'd get writers cramp from filling out awards applications.
I remember my awards from T&O and other tough houses.
The others seems to get lost in the fog.
