Title: BFDT Summer Signup

Sign up here for the summer BFDT.

I need your high winter book average from the past year, the date you start, and the number of weeks you'll be bowling over the summer.

The BFDT is a doubles tournament that pairs averages high to low.  Your entering average is used for the first week, then discarded.  Your average (and handicap) will change each week based on your scores.  The week runs from Sunday to Saturday.  Please have your scores turned in by Tuesday if possible.  Results are given in scratch and handicap, 80% of 220, no negative handicap.  Scores are on the honor system.  There is no money involved, bragging rights only.  Pick one league and use those scores throughout.  If you have to miss the league you signed up with, you may substitute another league or tournament scores.

I'm assuming that you're using a minimum of 21 games for establishing an average.  I joined one of my leagues in the second half, and it's my high book average league (182 for 39 games).

(on edit):  I'll be bowling on Tuesdays, beginning June 3.  League will run a minimum of 13 weeks (not sure if it's 13- or 15-week league).

Yep, am still interested.  Will be starting May 6th and bowling for 12 weeks.

High average is 203, but will need to use the combination of two leagues like I did for Winter.  League is only 22 weeks long and we are already in week 8.  So depending on how long it last, I will have to use the beginning of the winter league which starts in August or another league.

I'm in.  Highest book  ave 183.  I'll continue using my Thursday night league which starts May 15th.

If I end up bowling a league with a house shot this summer, I'm in.  Or maybe I'll just use my sport league, it could be fun.  My high avg for the winter was 216.

For the winter BFDT people, if my average for you differs from what your book says, I'll use that.  Some people had to change leagues or their league started at a different time than the BFDT started.

I'd like to play as well, if you think you can put up with me.  We start on 29 May, and sweep on 28 August.  My high book average this past season was 212.

I would like to try.  My high book average was 180 and I start bowling on the 22nd for 12 weeks.

Count me in...High book avg is 178.  I bowl continuously throughout the year.  One league ends, and the next one starts a couple weeks later, no real summer/winter cycle.

So far, I have 21 people signed up.

Looks like the first week might be 5/18 to 5/24.  Just about everyone will be started by then.  The two people who are later (debs130 [182] and Pooter Boof [212]) have averages that compliment one another.  Unless they have other scores they can use, I may pair them up and let them join a week or two late.

My Wednesday league doesn't end for another 4 weeks (we had Christmas and New Year's weeks off, as well as a snow day cancellation), so I can use those scores until Tuesday, June 3, which is the first night of my summer league.

I would like to join but...

I signed up for the summer sport league but so far, there are not enough entries, so I dont know if they will have it or not. Our winter league still has two weeks left, then the sport league is supposed to start, so that will be around 22 May.  My May 1st average was 191.

I could let you know later if the league is going to run this summer.  Right now there are only six bowlers signed up.

Keep in touch.  Some people join late, and some people have to quit for various reasons.  If I have an even number of people to start, and your league works oot, I'll find you a partner.
