Well I didn't completely embarrass myself on the first night of league:

171 175 196 = 542

Beat my pathetic 175 average by 17 sticks so I'm happy.

New league in a new house with mixed results.  League is a 4 game format so I'll give all 4 scores, but I assume the 1st 3 will count.  215-178-146-175=714 total series but 539 for the 1st 3.  On a positive we did win 3 of the 4 points

Strider, I don't know how you're going to handle this, but I became sick last night and couldn't bowl. Still not feeling too well, but I had to come into the office and clear my desk up some today. Let me know what you want to do (average minus 10?).

Rags: If you have another league, and are feeling up to it, use it as a substitute for now.  If not, I'll give you a blind (10 off of average) until you feel up to bowling.  Get well soon.  At least you had to clean your desk up, not out!

TrimMan's internet connection is dead, but he is fine.  He called his scores in.  How's that for dedication!  223-212-201 = 636.

its fun bowling against a team who complain that they're not getting enough handicap all night long even when the league is 100% handicap...and 3 teams less because of it...they complained that i was sandbagging since i looked good the first game(minus a few splits) and that i should be averaging 200+....these are the same people who wanted to put an average cap in a handicap league.....i want some of what they're smoking

Just a little Jeff.  That's a ton of strikes to not break 700.  One bad ball (2-8-10), two mediocre balls ("pocket" 7-10's), and my terrible spare shooting kept me from a real nice series.  I threw at least 8 strikes a game and my high was 231?

Not a problem, partner.  It can't get much worse.  I shot 761 last night, tied the first game, lost to a 300 the second game, and won by one pin the last game.  Shoot 761 and lose by 62.  There wasn't anyone else within 90 pins of us.  I've never heard so much complaining in a scratch league.  To make matters worse for them, we move a pair to the left after each game.  So, they bowled on, essentially, the same shot we did....only a lot worse.  Like I said, I've got a medicine cabinet full of those little wonders from curly, my scratch doubles partner.  You better go get 'em next week.  Don't expect this kind of effort every week!
