I thought I was on the road to recovery, but then the bottom fell out.
Im begining to think that bowling is not the game for me. I am not enjoying it these days and wonder why I pay for the abuse. No bowling next week so I get a blind........maybe I can score better that way.

I won't be bowling again until after the 15th of October.  Too much work to do.

Ed,
I know where you are coming from.  My 1st league was going to be my last, I thought.  That was over 20 years ago.  I was the worst bowler in a league of 24 5 person teams.   One of the bowlers took pity on me and helped me figure out what I was doing.

Since then, there are those slumps and when they get really bad, it's off to a coach or trusted bowler for help.  Sometimes we can't figure it out on our own and need that second pair of eyes.

The last time it took me almost 3 years of struggling to finally get help and it was minor faults that I let become major

Don't be too hard on yourself.  Despite what some on this board say, the game isn't as easy as it looks.  Many variables to make or break your game.  My worst enemy is myself and my coach has helped me to see I need to lighten up.  I sort of have, he even admits I seem to be having more fun now than when he first started coaching me.

Time, patience, and practice.  Hang in there.  It will get better

Sorry about being late last week and not posting a reslup for this week but, with all the changes at work with my shift time and company personnel changes plus what is going on with my wife etc. I'm just not going to have the time to do the reslup for BOTBC - NPA.

I am very sorry to bail out on all of you like this but it's a question of time priorities. I hope everyone bowls great.

Thanks Mark

Zman,

I don't know what the problems are regarding your wife, but whatever they are, I hope they work out for the best.

No problem, Zman.

Good luck and God Bless.

Anyone want to volunteer to do the reslups ?

Mike - I think we scared the ladies off!
Roo is out until after the 15th of Oct., as her post says.
Debs is waiting to post a series between ours, so we don't have too much testosterone at the top of the barrel.
TP is probably devising a way to still shoot well and stay in the barrel.
CB is still too pissed off at having "Ahnold the Womaniza" for a guv, to post her scores.

Hey, wasn't Doc Hollywood suppose to start posting this week ?

Oh yea, my scores.

193 - 199 - 175 = 567
Only one open in each of the first 2 games.
Made up for it in the third.
It was going to be my first sanctioned 600 series ever, but I got in my own way.
We even lost all 7 points.

Let's see, I'd have to shoot 568 or 569?  I bowl Sunday morning -- I'll see what I can do.

PK I hadn't seen any volunteers for reslups, so I thought maybe it was dead.  As for staying in the barrel...no problems there.  If you read my post in Scratch Doubles, you will understand, my equipment is conspiring against me

162 (as a little birdie told me, Pchee would be proud) - 184- 192 = 538  We won't discuss Tuesday's bowling Though I will say I did break 500

I was just waiting for Mike and TP to post.  I wanted to make sure I beat them before posting.  Actually I've been trying to get all the leagues I upload current and all work done before the weekend.  I bowl Reno with Pooter Boof and Nicanor.

I just got the PDW resurfaced and it must have liked it.  214-171 (slow to make the transition) - 206 = 591.  Maybe I'll get the 600 next week or better yet in Reno this weekend.

193-170-188 = 551

Threw lots of strikes, but my spare shooting left much to be desired.  Won the second game by striking out, and lost the third game by missing the 10 pin.

Sorry all been so busy hadn't got around to posting.

I have testing a new drill pattern and they have changed the oil pattern at the ole bowling establishment and so I had to change my bowling style again.

227-199-148=574

Couldn't keep the ball on the lane last game.

maybe next week.

I almost forgot.  Some married chick bought me a drink.  Her husband came over and said where's his drink and she said go buy it yourself.   This one's for the Doc. LOL
