Yesterday a team mate and I went to Mesquite for some actual practice time. Ended up bowling 6 games. The first 3 were bowled normally. The second 3 it was decided that my release was never the same. (and all this time I thought it was my timing) So I guess you could say that I am learning to bowl all over again from scratch. I don't know what my scores will be like for the balance of my winter leagues, but at least I feel like I have a solid starting point to work from now.
All that being said. I will claim my rightfull spot on the bottom and even PK will have no worries for awhile.

By the way, is anyone bowling the no tap tourney this Sunday in Mesuite? Cause I will be there giving it a shot, new release and all. Then come home to bowl my Sunday night league and post my scores for this week no matter what they are.

Don't count yourself out yet, Ed.
The way I have been bowling lately, you could still stay off the bottom.

We got the cursed lanes.  There is a visible dip where the seams come together just beyond the arrows on lane 4  So PK and Ed, I may be challenging you for the bottom 170-164-134=468

I posted from memory and just found the copy of the recap, I was off by 2 pins.  Last game was 136 for a 470.  Now I feel so much better

Nice shooting Mike!

146 - 159 - 232 = 537

Got the Green Gargoyle Wednesday.
Used it the 2nd(strikes or nothing) and 3rd games(clean with 6 in a row!).
Must be the new ball syndrome, teammates say I will be cussing it out in about 3 weeks.

Nice shooting, Mike!

I'll need to use my Sunday PM (mixed league) scores this week.  My adult/junior league has been cancelled due to a tournament being held at the center.

What's up with the lane centers?  Last week I feel good and lose a contact and they have a nice shot.  This week I feel good and want to test out another ball and the shot starts out worse than the last game of last week. Ugghh!

Not enough oil to test bu ttried anyway.

172-205-161=538

No CPLS this week, but the waitress refilled my drinks for free.

I wanna use my no tap score!!!!!!!!

I know, I know, not going to happen. But hopefully I learned something today and tonights scoes will reflect it. FYI no tap was 548. I know it means nothing, but Im happy with it, since out of 3 games I think I only had 7 frames of fake strikes.

Will check in later with my real scores.

Well, well, looks like PK and I do things reverse of each other.  He starts so so and finished good.  I start good and finish so so.  LOL  How to cheat yourself out of a 600 by RooCat....  4 in a row, 3 spares, double,  spare, strike.  First clean game I've had in a while.  Now why can't I keep it going????  Bah, humbug...

234 - 181 - 145 = 560

I'm afraid I've really fallen into a slump:

183-150-170 = 503

It was a position round, we were tied for first, and took only 1 1/2 points out of 11 (most of which was my fault).  I also managed to spill my coffee all over the place last night.

Well, I guess my back has had enough. After 6 "power practice" games on tues. 2 warm up games yesterday followed by 3 tourny games. Then last nights league, my back says its had enough. Last night towards the end of the second game something pulled, leaving me to bowl in pain the rest of the night, and most likely passing on tonights league. So with just 3 weeks left, and knowing it will take most of that 3 weeks to return to pain free status, I am going to pull myself from the barrel and bid you all good luck until the finish. Im so tired of being in pain of one form or another, that I think I need to take a break. Its been a blast, and may our paths cross someday.
