BOTBC 10-13 to 10-19
« on: October 14, 2003, 12:10:03 AM »
Does everyone want to continue ?
If so, post them here.
Maybe we can get Pchee back in, since I removed the NPA.

TP, I hate to inform you but unless you only get 313 for your series next week, you are above the 185 maximum average for the BOTBC currently being at an average of 200 for this challange.  W/E 10/26 is the end of your 6 weeks probation for the Bottom Feeders.  I don't like to see the lead lady go but rulz is rulz.

Geez RooCat, I guess that means I also will be out soon.  I believe I have a few 580-590s and now the 638.  In a league your team isn't thrown out of a league because their current averages put them over the max, but then I guess this is virtual and you can do whatever you want.  If TP is kicked, I'll save myself the trouble and stop posting unless I shoot really crappy.  It's been real.

Gee whizz, OutaSync, are you OutofSorts?  It's true that you now average 191 but TP averages 195.  You even agreed with the verdict...See below.

quote:
I think we should just give TP enough time to either get back in the water at the top of the barrel (185) or show that she has evolved into a permanent air breather (over 185). If she sustains the average for say 6 week, then she's out and all her winnings are forfeit and she is removed both the weekly challange and the stats until/unless her average falls of it's own accord back down to the level of the barrel.

I agree with RooCat, you can't kick out our almost guaranteed female leader of the barrel. Give her time to come to her senses and become one of us again. Six week should be enough time.

RooCat, I think you are the ones out of sorts.  I am just stating I will also drop, since as you say once some one is over the 185 they are out.  I'm just saving you all the trouble.  I hope you and Debs have fun with this, Good Luck!

I thought this was all in fun and my comments were just that, all in fun.  I really didn't think anyone was going to kick anyone out until the end of the season.  I was wrong so as you said "rulz is rulz" so I'm outahere.

Congratulations Debs, nice shooting.  But you better watch out or your head may be on the chopping block

CBisOutasync, don't sweat it.  Look at it this way we've graduated out of the barrel  There's nothing to stop us from making fun/teasing those still stuck in the barrel

Thanks ladies!  Actually, my average is now 186 on the league I'm using here.  I also just shot a 603 in my Sunday night league.  Guess I'm on a roll.

I once mentioned that maybe we should raise the bar for the BOTBC -- to perhaps 190-195?  I also don't think that anyone should be ejected until the season's over.  Just my 10 cents.

Debs,  that is what I actually thought would happen, loss of elegibility for the next season.  But since it seems to ruffle some feathers, I'd rather not bother.

TP you are right, it is a graduation out of the barrel.  It's just this was fun last season.  Maybe you and Debs, soon to be ousted too, can start our own competition.  What's funny is I don't have higher than a 185 in either league.  But due to this starting before my winter league started and having to miss a session, my BOTBC average exceeds my league averages.

PK, my son actually was not happy, and said he wanted to quit (but I hear this every week).  We were bowling against a local coach and his protege.  They each threw a high 600, so we won only one game. My little guy shot 2 games that were over his average.

Thanks!

Great Series Debs!!

I am not one to kick anyone out of the barrel either regardless of their over-achievements.  I treat this as fun(when I win).  I think the great part of this little tournament is when one of us struggling players actually puts a good series together and gets to trash someone else a little.

I am waiting for the day when Ed beats OutaSync or TP and gets to brag about it.
You never know.........

Thanks Mike!  I hope you know that I was totally joking when I razzed you about the 5-7-10 that you left.

Bowl for Beer, I learned to bowl when I was about 7-8 years old.  A nice young married couple volunteered their time to teach us inner-city kids.  We first learned by standing at the foul line using the pendulum swing.  Then we learned a 4-step approach.  He told all of us to buy simple wristbands as well.  This was a long, long time ago (about 41 years).

I've given up trying to teach anything to my husband.  He has a decent enough average, but falls off every shot, and you can hear a "thunk" every time he lets go of his ball.

To all in the BOTBC, can't we all just have fun and get along?  TP and OutaSync -- please, please don't leave us.

Debbie
