BOTBC - NPA Post 09-15 to 09-21
« on: September 14, 2003, 11:19:11 AM »
As promised this week it's Vegas style odds and propositions.
Here are the latest reported odds.
Place your bets and post your scores.
Remember any/all comments are meant solely as entertainment and reflect zero percent of my actual opinions of anyone living or bowling like they are already dead this week.

1st Suckerfish to post a sub 500 series
Ecajberry - 1 to 1,000,000 (The odds would be higher but I have no symbol for infinity on my keyboard)

Pin Kisser - 1 to 500,000

Everyone else is off the board for this bet.

A Chick Wins Again
T.P. - 2-1
CB - 5-1
Debs130 - 7-1
Roo Cat - 10-1
Mike DeSantis - 100-1 (Hey I don't make the odds I just post them.)

Pchee Gets More CPL's/DPL's This Week Than Everyone Else All Season In 1 Week
This is my personal favorite bet.

Pchee - 1-100
Pchee Doesn't - Are you serious ? Have you been reading the CPL/DPL totals reported ? Ok 1-1,000,000. Yes bet $1,000,000 to win $1.

Pchee Mentions Slapping Womens Butts or Kissing His Biceps

Pchee Does - 1-1
Pchee Doesn't - 500-1

Odds on Winning This Week
T.P. - 1-1
CB - 5-1
Debs130 6.666 - 1
Pchee - 7-1
Roo Cat - 10-1
Mike DeSantis - 5' 3" - 1 (Height matters when posting odds trust me)
Pin Kisser - Sorry I just can't post this number. There isn't enough space on the server for all of the 0's.
Ecajberry - Pin Kisser odds plus 1.

Pchee - 7-1
Roo Cat - 10-1

What!?  You give me less chance of winning than Pchee??!!  I kicked his butt all season long both last year and the year before.  Humph!  So much for the odd oddsmaker.  Must be having more of that brain cell death syndrome.

I see I have a choice to make......
bowl without liquid refreshment and have PK resume his rightfull place, or just continue to have fun at the expense of holding the spot for myself awhile longer..........<sits pondering his choices>

Ed - From last weeks scores, I would recomend you start drinking earlier.
It seemed (at least to me) that the more you drank, the better you got.

I think I am the one who will have to do without the liquid refreshments this week.

Just a thought!

Eureka !!!!

The Bottom Feeders are geniuses. I've devised a way to obtain a far larger amount of competitors to liven things up.

I call it the "Ragnar Base Handicap System"

Typical leagues base their bowling handicaps on giving out pins to people who  average under 220. BORING !

I say give the better bowlers a handicap to bring them down to the level of the less skilled. Get'em really really drunk before bowling and keep them that way.

Since Ragnar is the biggest thing ever seen on a lane, in a car, in a library, all right anywhere, it's based off his habits.
Anyone averaging over 185 has to drink as much as Ragnar would in a normal bowling night when he wants to get "happy."
They have to drink it BEFORE they throw the 1st shot then continue to drink at least 2 cocktails per game.

If that doesn't level the playing field, actually it will probably make it bumpy since there will be passed out bodies everywhere, I give up.

PK
I think you might be right.
I will not eat dinner before hand either...........slows things down to much.
Does that mean that I have desided what to do tonight???
Not really, guess you all will have to judge by my scores.....hahahahaha

Better then last week, but not as good as I know I can do.
I think I am still on the bottom.

I realize this may be my last post in this challenge.  I thought about falsifying scores, but that wouldn't even help.  I thought about dropping 50-100 pins off each game, but I just couldn't so here goes...The ThongPrincess broke 600 again.  199-173-232=604 and 1 DPL.  He stayed right behind my pair, offered to buy me an alcoholic beverage of my choice (he was unaware I only drink diet Pepsi or Diet Coke), then asked me to join him Saturday for a practice session

If the judges chose to kick me out, it has been a blast and can I come back if I start bowling more PK type scores???

So, TP is at 604 this week?  With reverse handicap maybe that's about 540,so I think we should just make it a reverse score of 406.  I expect to be able to beat that tonight and I think PK and Ed have a shot at that too.

I think any time TP shoots a 6, we just use any number from 5 to 3 in her series as the 1st number in the series as the example shows above.  If all the numbers are 6 or higher, we just divide her series by 2, so a 666 would be a 333. If the numbers other than the 6 are a 0, 1, or 2,then we can divide by 1.5.  hence a 600 would be a 400, for example and a 620 would be 413. That should take care of her dominance in BOTBC.

As for CPL's/DPL's,  I must take a pass on these this season since I am only in a men's league this year and I am still not interested in dancing on the gay side of the block.  The few CPL's I have seen were uglier than the men, so I wouldn't want to claim them anyway.

224-193-191=608  Chopped the head pin off the 3-pin in the 10th frame of the last game to rob myself of another 200 game.

Maybe just enough for a dethroning ceremony!!
