There was a question as to who was planning to participate.  Here's a list of respondants who expressed interest:

ThongPrincess
hotwire13
JOE FALCO
Glen Hershberger
Rick Wunder
janderson
Volksbeetle28
revmaster22
stanski
Hex017
MI 2 AZ

The proposed setup allows us to have a fluid membership.  If you skip a week, you get no points.  If you win a week where everyone bowls, it is worth more points than a week where three people skip.

I guess I'll start? These scores are from last week since our league was off this week for memorial day.

Killer scores here fellas.

141, 200, 147 = 488

Missed everything, Got it, Missed Everything again

We switched from PBA regional pattern #1 to pattern #2 last night.  Although it seems like it mostly resembles pattern E(asy) / Cheetah, it played a little tighter with more carrydown and shots off the twig didn't recover as strongly.  It was an interesting night.

Amazing how the clean games are higher, no?  A spare ball is your best friend on this stuff.

We started our summer sport league this week and it will run for 10 weeks so it meets the criteria for this event.

However, we bowl a two-game match against one team, then switch pairs to bowl another two-game match against another team.  So I will use my first three games even though they will be across two pairs.

186-189-168=543.

My best game was the fourth, of course, of course.  227.

Edited to add:

We will be rotating through four sport patterns.  The first week was a 42 ft pattern #4 but I dont know if the pattern number refers to a standard from ABC or if it was just a locally assigned number.  I was told we were given four patterns from the ABC.

I would like to get in on this as well. I bowl a summer sport shot league on Thursday nights, 3 games. 4 different sport compliant patterns, it started two weeks ago and runs through the middle of August.

I will post my scores from my 3rd week in the league tomorrow night.

Tonight was our third night of our PBA pattern league. I shot 211 165 220 for a 596. If it wasnt for a stupid ball change in game 2 I might have shot a SIX. I asked the lane man afterwards what pattern it was and he said it was either "A" or "C."
All I know is there was a ton of oil outside so I and my partner played in the middle. He had a 697. This is my first league on anything other than a house shot and I can say I've never concentrated so much on each shot than I have in this league. It seems like it forces you to be a better bowler.

Well, week 3 of our sport league has come and gone. 34 foot pattern, 80 units of oil from boards 1-9, 65 units from 10 to 10....a very humbling experience for this bowler. I left back to back pocket 6-8's in game one, a pocket 5-10 in game two and a 5-7 in game three, plus chopped a spare in game one and two in game three...

167-182-151= 500.

I didn't see a lot of high scores on this pattern, except for the people who can play tight lines while cranking the ball....

Probably C, not A.  C forces you to move your breakpoint in to about the 12 board at 42 feet, while A is generally best played (at least early on) outside the 5-board.

mmike1053 - if it makes you feel any better, Pattern B (Shark) eats my lunch.
