HaHa, Nice 230. Jim was fun to bowl with last year. We split up to make a few more teams in the league. He will be fine. He is just in a slump right now. We all go through it at some point in the year.

We're only down 50 after yours and charles' scores.

All I need is 781 to get totals from my opponent.  Let's hope thebigfour lays the mother of all eggs this week for position round.  It appears our work's cut out for us.

Mumzie, I need a blind.

Sorry bud, I got injured at work this week. Had a 20# box fall from about 20 feet above me. I got hit on my right arm just above the wrist joint and when I move my wrist i get uncomfortable pain. I can roll a ball easy but I have no control over the amount of revs i put on the ball so i can roll it great 2 frames in a row then all of a suddon frame 3 the ball has maybe a quarter of the revs as the 1st 2 balls. My wrist can not generate the revs my game depends on. I tried playing striaght up like WRW with the same result so I will be out this week for sure, next week is possible.

I'm beginning to think I should be using my sport league scores(193-164-214).  Tonight we are at the high end and I was excited since it is usually a more palyabe shot.

Not tonight.  I don't get it, 6PM does not have many lefties, but the lanes were flying.  I used my straightest rolling ball and couldn't keep it on the left of the head pin.  My teammates, right handed, were having to slow their balls down to get them to move.

In hindsight, I should have just used plastic 161 (5 splits and only 2 of them missed) 135 (went to plastic in the 8th / / /X to end the game) 177 (nothing but plastic).

Ouch, that one really hurt. Yes I have been bowling like crap so far this year but Charles did not kick me off his team, we decided to get different partners this time around, thats all..

Charles shoots 700 every week and I don't, so I thought he would be better off with someone else..

Getting Better Jim. Keep working, you'll break that slump. Like he said, there was no other reason for our splitting our team other than just to make a few more teams in this league and a friend of ours, gsback decided to give this a try so Jim is partnered with him. There are no hard feelings eitehr way. This is all about fun and the more people involved, the more fun we have.

jikser01, you'll have to forgive charles.  His chances of winning last season were great with you as a partner. However, he wished to punish his opponents rather than simply "getting by".  Now that position round is here, and he knows that he's made the right choice by aligning the two highest averages on the same squad, his mission is, nearly, complete.   j/k  It appears that the rest of the league is in store for a long season if the first quarter is any indication of how BBE Express will perform.  70-2 is a pretty decent way to get out of the gate!

70-2 would not be bad. HaHa. But I know it will not last. Chances of winning are good but I am sure we will hit a slump also. It always happens. However, I personally am not out to annihilate anyone. I am just doing it to have a good time. Now thebigfour may be out to annihilate everyone, I don't know. He is bowling alot better than even I expected.

g,

First thing, please learn that there are plenty of decaffeinated offerings that are just as tasty as the originals, without the "edgy" affects that caffeine can create.

Second, this is a FUN league.  We've(jkiser01) had enough contact and communications with jkiser01 over the past four or five years to realize that I'm merely giving him a little shot.  Besides, to be the best you need to beat the best, right?  To this point, our team hasn't done that.  Most of my criticism, if it were real, would fall on deaf ears 'cause the Texas Express was last year's champ.

Third, jumping right into the genitalia region is a bit on the childish side, no?  With even the slightest examination of my posts throughout this site you'd find that none of this was malicious.

For the record, if I've offended anyone with my comments, I apologize.  Jim, especially.  Otherwise, charles has put up a number for me that's gonna be awfully tough to beat.  We'd have to pull off the equivalent of the Red Sox/Yankees comback from the ALCS of 2004 just to have a chance in the first quarter or we're likely to relinquish second place.

sorry about G's comments.. He was just defending his little buddy, thats all!! LOL.. I also wasn't sure if you where kidding or not at first, so I guess G took it that way as well..

Yea G normally goes straight for the part that hurts, thats for sure.. LOL..

I have been bowling like crap so far this year and I am probably a little quick to jump when I seemed to have got publicly slammed, but thats OK now.. I know you where kidding.. Its all good..

PS: Charles won the doubles last year.. I was just along for the ride.. He seemed to have shot 700 every week and thats sometimes hard to beat..

This is all in good fun. However, for the record, I admit Jim did his part last year. Averaging 225 for the year isn't bad. That is tough to beat. I just happen to bowl in a house that is normally high scoring if you play the right part of the lane. That doesn't mean I get to play the same ball on the same line week in and week out as I bowl the 2nd shift league. However, it is still usually easy. Jim knows the house very well. I think we should all just relax and have a little fun. That is what this is all about. There is no $$$ involved and whoever wins wins. I am glad I put up a tough number for you to beat 230, if I am the inspiration behind an honor score, then I will congratulate you and move on to the next quarter (after I kick you in da nads....HeHe). Good Luck.

Hard to say that this score would be disappointing, but, here it goes.

266-248-244=758

Clean set with lotsa 9-pins and a made 4-7-9 in the last game after the front six.  I was trying to get two and totals from charles but, alas, I'll have to go to battle with this set.  Great first quarter guys.  I can honestly say, trying to maintain the pace you've set has forced me to focus a lot harder on my game.  And, with a little more effort, I think that bass and I will hang around near the top to keep you guys honest.

Okay, I do not need a blind as originally thought. I went to the doctors yesterday morning before work and turns out my wrist was dislocated from the box falling. Once the doc poped it back in place my wrist felt 100% better instantly. Its still kinda tender but no pain at all. Doc gave me the green light to go bowling when i stopped back in the office after work.

SO here we go!

Game 1; 220 slow start but made up for it with a 6 bagger to end the game. 1 open 6 strikes the rest spare coverage.

Game 2; 256 Clean game.

Game 3; 247 (could have been a 278 but i had a stone 8 pin in the 8th frame) another clean game.

Series Set for the night: 723!

Well, Partner, I tried - but I gave you no help to speak of.
We post-bowled today - and they flooded the lanes (especially outside) - obviously in preparation for a full day of open play.
Geez...
Miss 1 right (hit 10 instead of 11) and it was a 3 count!
