I think I said in last weeks post that I was bowling in our State Tournament ( Indiana ) this weekend. I had a terrible outing on Saturday in team event. The team still shot well, around 3100 scratch even with my 527. We had a bad ice storm in Indianapolis while we were bowling our team event so it was not a fun drive back to the hotel. Ok, enough about Saturday on to Sunday for the scores that I will be using for this league.
After beating myself up pretty good Saturday night for the team event I decided to put that behind me and start fresh on Sunday, so here's what happened in singles which is what we bowled first. Sunday is usually where my scores come from for this league. I just got my newest ball drilled up on Thursday and picked it up but never had a chance to throw it. BTW it is the Awesome Hook from MoRich. Long story short aside from the new ball I bowled great. I did not miss the pocket once and had great carry.

This was the first weekend for the Tournament so everyone keep your fingers crossed for me that it holds up for my first state title in singles.
Doubles,
Lanes broke down pretty bad and just could not keep up. Shot 581 for 1868 All events.

The one week lay-off seemed to help tremendously. I felt real good with my release and consistently hit my marks for a change. Only left 2 open frames, both 6-8 splits.
230 - 236 - 213 = 679
In the third game, I left the 8 pin 3x

My 2 finger urethane sprayer teammate is back, 20 boards of spray.
UGH! I wish he wasnt on my team, I was getting super consistent, then he came back from his 6 week hiatus
I was smelling 700 after the 2nd game, but lane 6 disappeared faster than a double quarter pounder with cheese in front of Rosie O'Donnell.
Used my Axe Urethane 1st game because I was so successful with it during open bowling (258), but its certainly not a fresh pattern ball. Matched up with it for about 6 frames, then became hyper sensitive.

Over/under and/or carrydown lasted all night thanks to plastic cutting across the lanes. One lefty was throwing the ball in the right gutter about 1/2 way down the lanes.
Make adjustments and then lose it 2 frames later.
Oh well, there's always next week.

As usual, I pull the Vertigo out the last game and it powers through the pins. I didn't even hit the head pin the first frame and got a strike (4-2-1 falldown)

My left knee is killing me. I couldn't post a shot if my life depended on it right now. Last game I had the front 8 and didn't hit the same mark twice. Pocket 7-10 evened out the karma.

Our league got cancelled due to snowstorm, but while I was working at the pro shop, the league secretary ther asked us if we wanted to sub for them since 1/2 their league was gonna no show and they were not gonna cancel. Was clean thru 2 1/2 games then split open late for 202. Pitch change in my thumb works well so far, started with my Fury and so far so good.

Anyway, Lisa, I drilled up a couple balls using a conventional grip, which I haven't used since I was 12 years old. Needless to say I think it worked tonight. No designs, no washouts, no 3 4 6 7 10s, one solid 9, no swish 7s, a bunch of weak 10s but I'll take those over 2 8 10s because I can MAKE 10 pins ---- 204, 223, 214 641.

I think that LeavinHope is paired against me not Platinum Bowler for individual match points. So Platinum took 2 of 3 from you and Leavin took 2 of 3 from me. And it's 1 point for individual, 2 for team. So even though we beat you by over 100 pins, the final scoring should be Hogs/Platinum 7 pts, Leavin/Mav 5 points. Not as bad as you thought.
