Week #28 4/8-4/14
« on: April 08, 2007, 06:15:15 AM »
And then, there were two...
--------------------
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

Hi All,
Bowled again this week on the Cheetah Pattern. After a game of warm-up in which I had 170 something I changed balls and lines, moving deeper and these are the games I will use for this league.

Six 10-pins the second game after drilling the hole first game.  Left just about every type of 10-pin imagineable.  Ringers, swishers, blow-rack messengers.  Was totally lost.  Made a ball change in the tenth, went sheet, and was able to salvage a nice set only to leave a wash out in the 12th ball and our team lost by one freakin' pin.  Threw the Mystic for the first time and was in love after 10 frames and wanted to use it as a boat anchor after the next nine.

233-224-210

A very uninspired night.  I got in a mega strike jackpot.  I had all of them going into the 10th the 2nd game.  I had left a ring 10 on that lane in the 8th, so I make a tiny adjustment and leave another to take me out of it.  Covered it and left another.  First shot in 3rd game gave me my 7th for the night and I just lost it.  Bad carry left me frustrated.  We were down 250+ after 2 games because 2 of my teammates just don't seem to care.  If I don't shoot 740 we lose.  Our leadoff guy leaves before we're even done.  Then to top it off, some prick knocked my soda all over the place and didn't even have the decency to let a porter know.  I like the league and the guys I bowl with (most of the time), but I'm glad we're done for the year.

Backed into this one with an open in the first game, two the second game, and another in the third.  In between opens, I had 16 out of 17 including 13 in a row at one point.  I had the mojo and blew it; I let a big boy score get away tonight.

I believe I reported I would not be bowling this week.  I did end up bowling tonight in my 6 PM league (the only league I bowled for the week).  So if acceptable, here are the scores 160 - 172 - 191 = 523
