is there such a thing as too much information
« on: April 15, 2015, 02:46:24 PM »
I was avg 160 and with a season of bowling, done this winter, i pushed it to 175. I have been trying to become a more consistent bowler by reviewing my basic game ( start, push away, my walk, timing, follow through).  It seems now that I have watched so many bowling videos and read so many online post that I feel like I am always trying to adjust my game to get better. The result though is that I am actually not getting better and actually becoming more inconsistent. My avg is dropping close to the 160s again, and getting frustrated.

Do you think I am trying to change too many things at once? Do you think too much information is bad because it may not match my style and game?

One of my biggest challenge is over gripping the ball and over turning the ball to early. I have been working on trying to relax my arm more to free up my swing. I think if I can relax my arm,  I will be able to stay behind the ball more. Looking for some help and advice.

With the internet and the information available today, yes there can be a saturation of whatever it is you choose to research.

The best thing you can work on is spares. Being a great spare shooter will be one of the most valuable score saving things you can do.

As you gain experience and get use to bowling I would seek out lessons. The best money you will ever invest in your game at any level.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.
