I'm going to make the assumption you are relatively new to bowling. If not I apologize and either way I'm glad you've decided to join us.
Sorry but there is no answer to your question. In time you will learn that you might have to start at the far right side of the lane, then move to the middle, then move to the far left side, all in the course of the 1 game. Hell, you might have to move the exact opposite from left to right during 1 game. Sometimes you might get lucky and find a spot that works for 2 or 3 games in a row and you don't have to move at all. It all depends on what works for that particular lane and that particular time. This is especially true for 2 handed bowling that you are attempting to learn.
Another way to explain it is this. The key to good bowling is finding a style that you can easily repeat for at least 30 frames in a row. If you are new - experiment with everything to find what works best for you. That also means pick up a traditional 3 hole fingertip 14-16lb ball, stick your thumb in it, and try that too. Throw it from the right, throw it from the middle, throw it from the left. Try 4 steps, 3 steps, 5 steps, even six.
There are no rules on the best way to bowl. Only thing that matters is your score at the end of the game.
Keep practicing and keep posting here and good luck.
