Ball Bag Recommendation (3 ball roller).
« on: February 05, 2015, 04:59:53 PM »
So now that I have my new ball being drilled, and my old one getting filled and redrilled, I'm going to be at two balls.  Was thinking of a 2 ball carrier but if I get a 3 ball right away, I can put my wife's ball in there (and leaves room if I ever get a 3rd or backup ball).

Whats a good 3 ball roller without going overboard.  I'm a once a week guy at most.

Want something I can get my shoes and accessories in also.

Thanks!

Would going with one of these be worth a little more money?

If you are bowling local(not flying), you have two balls now and want room to carry all your stuff AND your wifes ball and shoes, then I would go with the 900 Global three ball roller. Great bag with a ton of space.

Of course this link shows it as out of stock, but they are out there. Your local pro shop may have them in stock.

On Edit: Bowling.com has them for a little less.

Pockets of plenty, smooth replaceable wheels, and strong contruction.... this is a serious three ball roller which I liked over storm, ebo, and c300...I never owned a 900global, but this is a few dollars less and free shipping.

I like the look of the Elite Platinum bag and even bought my GF a two ball roller for Christmas this year. But after looking at hers, it seemed to not be as well made as the 900 Global one. It has plastic zippers and the extending handle didn't seem durable at all to me. But on the other hand, you do get a choice of colors or even ones that light up for wheels with the Elite. :)

strange, wow plastic zippers? the 3 ball roller is Al (or some metal) and the handle on the bag I owned was much more firm, thicker, and real solid  compared to the other 3 ball rollers I had. plus it was much more stable being upright. I just sold that bag for $70 and I got it for less than what it is now. $111....

i wonder if the new ones are made at a different place?? material??

I've seen the 900global one and thought about getting one, it looked beefy as i can remember lol

the light up wheels on the Elite is bonus lol

Yea, I was surprised at how cheap it felt. I have seen several people with the three ball Elite Platinum and just thought it was the best looking bag available. I bought my GFs online through Bowlers Paradise but if I had seen it in person, I would not have bought it. I would have gotten the 900 Global one instead. Maybe the newer ones are made cheaper.

I am personally a fan of the DV8 Three Ball Roller. I own one and I love the black and white checkered design. I also have the two ball tote and the single ball tote. I just love the simple black and white design. The three ball roller is very sturdy and I would recommend it if you were looking for a new bag. Only thing I haven't done with it yet is travel via airplane, but for local day to day travel to leagues and tournaments I have had no problems with it.

+1  love it. Plenty of storage and the removable shoe storage is very handy.

Picked up an older version of this bag  http://www.bowling.com/products/kr-hybrid-x-triple-roller.htm about a year ago at a garage sale for $20.  Only thing wrong with it was the retractable handle was missing.  So for another $20 I got a replacement handle from KR.  What I like about this bag is that it has a very slim profile compared to a lot of other 3-ball bags.  And it seems to be very well made.  And FWIW, I'd be checking your local Craigslist to see whats available there.  I know locally (here) there are usually some pretty good deals.
