Help figuring out lane adjustment please.
« on: August 05, 2007, 02:31:32 PM »
I consider myself a stroker and am throwing a 15 lbs. Brunswick BVP Punisher on medium dry lanes.  I'm throwing right up the 7/8-board and am consistently hitting the 1-2 pocket, instead of the 1-3.  I'm getting quite a few Brooklyn's, but also leaving several 10 pin spares.  I'm trying to figure out how to adjust to hit the 1-3. . . any suggestions?

Thanks.

Tim

move 2-3 boards left for a righty (right for a lefty) move mark 1-2 board in the same direction.

what this will do is allow your ball to go further down the lane before it reaches the breakpoint.

this is a move i use when i am lining up my shot.

get left a about 2 boards.

Remember move in the dierection the ball misses.

miss right of the head pin you move right a little
miss left of the head pin you move left a little

One Board with your feet on the approach is equal to 5 board when the ball gets to the pins, Your adjustments dont have to be big

Okay, do understand correctly that I am going to move a couple of boards left in my stance AND aim for, say, the second arrow (10-board) instead of 8-board?

Thanks for the replies.

If your ball action ( length, turn and your mark down the boards are being hit) then I'd suggest you first step forward 1/2 foot length.

Moving is correct, however, some people when they move can not or will not move the mark as well or they "over move" the mark. If you are putting the ball down and the movement is correct, you are comfortable there, then try to move forward a bit. If that is not comfortable for you, move left ( righty) or right (lefty) and repeat your shot, remember to move your mark as well.
