Title: How to Tilt the ball going up the boards.
Post by: bigfish on April 13, 2010, 04:12:30 AM
I am trying to find ways to fix my tilt. When I try to play up the boards i loose all my ball tilt. What are some drills i can do to keep the tilt but also play up the boards. I have a tendency to push the ball to the right when trying to tilt the ball at release when playing up the boards.

For example when i play 15 to 5 my track is about a inch away from my thumb (I am a high tracker).
When i try to play up the 5 board my track will either click the thumb or be right next to it.

I find i cannot get the ball to react very well when playing up the boards when there is a lot of oil on the lanes, because i cannot get any tilt on the ball.

If anyone can help please let me know, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Two things you can try, tuck your pinkie finger and/or cock your wrist toward your pinkie finger (sideways, not forward).  There's a tip on Ron Clifton"s (Magic Carpet on BR) web site on "Finger Dancing", find and read it.  His site link is below.  --  JohnP
