Kinda new?

Hey all i wanted to buy a ball that can hook better than the ones at the bowling alley... Any suggestions? thanks! also i was wondering how much do most places charge to drill the holes? thanks again!

Well, if your just starting out trying to hook more than the bowling alley balls than go with a power groove or a avalanche pearl. Usually they charge around $40-$50 to drill but if you buy the ball there then they add drilling into the price of the ball. Hope this helps.

Wow that was the exact ball i was thinking about haha the avalanche peral i looked at the other balls and theyre about 100 bucks each currently i dont think a 100 dollar ball will help me much as i am not very good

Also, do you have a ball weight you think i should use? at the alley i usually use a 14... Would 14 be a good idea to get? thanks!

If you normally throw 14lbs and it doesn't hurt your wrist or arm and you are comfortable with it then yes. Good luck!

Partially true.  Go to the pro shop and they'll probably do the test where you put your arm down by your side and then raise your forearm parallel to the floor and see how a 14 lb ball sits.  If it feels light, try 15.

When you get a ball drilled for your hands, the ball is going fit better than the house balls, which always seem heavy because you have to grip them to hold onto them.
