Hey team, I'm looking to purchase a bowling ball for my husband for his upcoming birthday (will be 34) near the end of May. He was on a bowling team after high school and is still a pretty good bowler. He can make the ball curve pretty good. He would likely join a league if not for COVID and work things. I have zero knowledge of the game and have no idea what I need to look for in a ball.
I am wanting a custom ball that looks extra rad but I need to know what things I should pay attention to. I'm seeing things like, grit level, flare and hook potential, polish, high/mid/entry performance, finishes, lane condition, oil volume, plastic, plasma, polyester, resin, etc. WTF. Tips?
Also, please tell me the clear balls with the skull and rose in them are no good. I'm drawn to them but they can't be evenly weighted right? HELP!
Looking to get one ordered very soon.
