Tough question to answer. It kind of depends on the bowler and how he reacts to "damage" to his ball... For example, a guy I bowl with had a little "normal" nick from equipment the first night he was using the ball --- he made the house replace the whole ball....Me, as long as the nick wasn't in my track I'd just keep using it (I'd tell the house owner/manager just to go on record, however, and then ask for a reasonable adjustment if the problem continued). Don't know how you'd react if that happened, but from what you describe it sounds like you're asking for trouble -- "too many balls are being damaged"
Based on that I'd say keep using your Conquest --- it's a shame you can't take your "babies" there and use them but the cost of bowling balls being what they are who wants to risk it?
Any chance of picking up a used TPC somewhere??? You'd have less of an investment in case it got damaged.
P.S. That's a sad state of affairs for that bowling alley -- that's got to effect their lineage

So you like this guy?
Yeah, he treats me sweet -- I met him at a bowling alley. (Matchstick Men)
