Okay, you are willing to spend big bucks, but should you? How much of a beginner are you and, honestly, what are your goals for bowling?
If you are a straight ball bowler who wants to stay that way, then the ball won't matter. Save your money for lessons, and buy a plastic ball--Target Zone, Maxim, White Dot, Boogie, etc.
If you are a beginning hook bowler who wants to learn to be a good bowler, then a high price ball can be detrimental to your development. The high price (& most mid-price) balls hook too much for a beginner. They can prevent you from developing a good release and form, especially if you bowl in an easy house, because the ball (and/or lane condition) cover up your mistakes. If this sounds good to you, then I recommend getting a urethane or exteremly weak particle ball with a mild core - Columbia Scout Particle, Brunswick Plum Pearl Power Groove, Ebonite Tornado TPS, etc. This combination for now will give you a consistent ball that will hook and won't be jumpy. It will also be a good dry lane ball for you in the future.
If you are a beginning hook bowler and you just want a big hook for the fun of it then go with a pearl resin with a high differential. This type of ball gives length and the biggest backend reaction for the greatest power and the most dynamic looking strikes. There are a plethoria of ball like this--Brunswick Moster SlayR, Lane#1 Cherry Bomb, RotoGrip Fuel, Storm X-Factor, etc.
