Need some advice.....
« on: January 02, 2007, 01:47:55 PM »
Been working on my delivery for a while now....Anyways my question is: Upon release what can I do with my hand to get more tilt on my ball, I realized that a ball just spinning isnt going to get you anywhere without tilt. Is there anything I can do to get more tilt....Any answer would surely be appreciated. Thanks in Advance

Getting more axis tilt on your ball is a combination of things like your pin placement,  the RG rating of the ball, your hand position at the point of release and the amount of fingers (lift) you have on the ball. Generally a weaker pin and lower RG will help in achieving more axis tilt, assuming your hand is in the correct position at the point of release.  I hope this helps.

I should say that more tilt will not automatically improve your game. The pro's change their roll depending what the lanes are telling them. The argument could be made, conversely, that a higher track puts more ball on the lane and will hit harder. There are pros and cons to both sides of the coin. You can find more tips and advice on http://www.bowlingballsandmore.com . The website is new and more info is being added every day. And it's all free.
