need a new ball

Hello, i'm thirteen years old and been bowling for 3 years and carry a 160 average. I currently have a 13lb no mercy beat'n.
I'm lookking for a 14lb bowling ball that will go long and have a lot of backhand for mostley heavy oil and houshots. I have a ball speed of around 16mph and up and high revs. would the resurgence have to much backhand for what i need it for? If so what would be a good ball for me? Any replies will be appreciated.

If your using the Beat'N now, I dont think the Resurgance will be too strong for you. If it is you can always play with the surface by either bringing it to 2000 or 4000 grit and/or polishing it.

Do you want something stronger than the Beat'N?  That ball is designed for backend.  If so, then you may want to try the new Black Widow Bite.  It is being released to do exactly what it is you want.  MORE BACKEND!!!

yes, i would like somthing a litte bit stronger then the beat'n for the heavier oil in the jbtS i go to. on sunday we had to bowl on the shark pattern.

The Bite is the way to go.  Hammer is promoting the Bite as the biggest hooking ball they have ever produced and yet it is supposed to be more angular than the 2 previous Widows.

I dont think it will be too much to handle if you use it on heavier oil as you say.  I have not seen one go down the lane yet.  But, a friend of mine (Ebonite Staff Member) has and he says the ball rolls incredible.  What is your PAP and I can help suggest a layout.

Coming from a 14 year old here, PAP is ur positive axis point. This is the point that off ur hand, before any flare, the ball rolls around, or the axis that the ball circulates around.

Walter is correct.  Your PAP is the initial axis point on the ball as soon as the ball leaves your hand at release.  Find a good pro shop and they can measure that.  Takes only a few minutes.
