APROACH ???
« on: December 22, 2004, 12:40:39 AM »
I have a short approach, 4 steps.. BUT, I end up a foot or so from the foul line.
I'm consistent with it thow.
Is this a good thing ? Or should I add a 5th step to my approach ?

Depending on the heads, would there be any other trouble I could get into with this approach ?

lol,

Not laughing at you Red, just laughing at me.
Well I think I am the most"qualified" to handle the short aproach topic
There are afew others on this site that will see this and chime in, but here
goes.

IF you are consistant with it, and you don't mind the extra muscle
that it takes to keep the ball speed up I would say it is fine.
As the heads dry you have two options, you can move up, or left.
IF you have a faster ball speed, being back farther allows the ball
to get into a roll better (at least for me it does).

I have a 5 step approach, but I stop about 6 feet behind the line.
There are a few people on here that have seen it, and it is a site,
but it works.

As long as your timing is ok and you are consistant, stick with it.
