New Ball Drilled, Track Over Fingers
« on: June 07, 2010, 07:45:16 AM »
I just had a new Motiv TR2 drilled up, pin is just below ring finger
suggest by driller to get the action I wanted. Question My Track is over
the finger holes, I don't hear a thumping of holes, and the ball seems to
be working fine, Anything I should worry about this track? Or is it OK?

Im guessing your a higher track bowler (oil lines are close to your fingers and thumb norally). You should NOT have a ball drilled pin down....this creates the bow tie flare to tilt differently....in this case tilting flare over fingers. You might want to ask your pro shop driller to possibly check weights in the ball and possibly a balance hole giving it as much finger v/s thumb weight....hopefully pulling your track back down a tad. This is just an opinion. I dont dnow your style, or ball static weights. Hope that helps a little.

High Track bowler, with Track next to finger holes, with My Yeah Baby
pin above ring finger.

I track very high as well.  most of my equipment is pin down.  The only time I have issues with clipping is if I go with the pin below my middle finger(righty).  This makes it roughly a 6" pin/pap.  As pro shop guy says, definitely get weights checked.
