Not really new, just a return. I was member here a year or two ago. Guess I better get a profile filled out. Well, I'll be starting my 3rd season in my life of bowling this Sept. I jumped into bowling with both feet, in sink or swim fashion. I never bowled in my life until I joined a league. Let me tell ya, there were some down-right embarrassing nights. Even had my scores announced on the PA system they were so bad. I guess I shouldn't be embarrassed though really, I was new! I did my best. Even though my best was a 105 ave. OK, now I'm embarrassed all over again. Anyway, this past season, I received my 2nd consecutive "Most Improved Average" award. I thought maybe there was a special award for getting that back to back years, but apparently not. Anyway, I'm just itching to start the new season, I'll start practicing after vacation this month (July) to get ready for Sept. Unfortunately, my schedule doesn't allow for a summer league, but maybe someday. I really fell in love with the sport once I started. I began following the PBA closely, hence my logon name. Also researched the history of the sport a bit. Anyway, I ended this past season with a 158 average and a high game of 245. I've got plaques pins and patches hanging everywhere at home. I had some solid 190 games towards the end of the last season, I think I have a real shot at the three-peat for most improved average. So, I'm just posting here because I'm itching to get rolling and sharing the passion. Hmmmm.....3rd year bowler, I'm still a newbie I know.....
