It is the result of many factors which you can reduce to "They made a good hit". You will also witness "good" shots when you play - lots of pin action, messenger flying around, the impression of a pin implosion on the deck with a quick hard sound.
This comes from the proper entry angle of the ball into the pocket (not too steep, not too shallow), a proper match of revs and speed for the condition at hand, plus a ball that has the right surface to deliver its energy when ist needed - when it enters the pin deck. The drilling might also be a concern, but it is a minor one.
Good players should be able to figure out quickly what works well and what not, and be able to repeat this solution consistently. Nevertheless, the "perfect" result can be achieved in several ways, so it is a matter of style how the golden path to the pocket looks like. What works for one player must not work for another.
