Question for lefties
« on: April 12, 2015, 09:58:25 PM »
Im struggling with my game when transition starts to occur, today I was playing 7th board, game one was decent for me, 190, but suddenly i lost my reaction out of no where  in game 2.

Tried to move 2 with my feet and 1 the target but then the ball skid too much leaving buckets, so moved my target back where it was and over hook, what can i do when this happens?

Last week at league was the same and my soluton was move right and play 3rd arrow but i have a tendency to get slower than i need to. Would appreciate any help on this

A lot of houses these days seem to like parallel moves.  Especially many of these harsh wet/drys.

ie 1 and 1 moves.  over the 2 and 1 moves.

you could move even further left and just play the drier part of the lane with a much weaker ball.  I can't/don't swing it, so when I cant play straight up around the 2nd arrow with anything I will typically ball down and move left out to the dry. Just a suggestion.

Brad, tried that, I was using a totally defiant and switched to my sting but the ball just never recovered, used my TD again and the same thing happened, even my friend gave me the what the hell look lol, idk maybe the oiling machines just dont work properly because this just happens in one bowling alley.

Best regards

For me when this happens, I have learned that I am not trusting the 2a nd 1 move and have a tendency to subconsciously square up during my approach to offset the move and then subsequently I pull the ball into oil.  Instead of throwing it out a little bit and trusting it, it ends up over-skidding and not getting into a roll early enough to hit the pocket effectively.

I don't know if this is happening to you without watching you but I will say, trust is a must.

Pretty much sums up what is happening to me,  2&1 is just not rolling early and leaving buckets, or soft hits to the pocket, so my solution is either go back where i was a change to weaker ball PLUS more speed or big step right and play 3rd arrow.
