Keeping a ball's surface.
« on: April 30, 2008, 01:13:35 AM »
I got my pro shop guy to take my ball to 4000 grit polished. About how many games will this surface last. When you bowl does the grit start going down? Also when I clean my ball does that make the polish go away faster? Thanks.

really depends on the condition of the lane surface.  I've bowled tournaments at houses before that after a 3 game set, a visible "track" has already started and the polish was gone.  On good conditions and smoother lane surfaces, I think a good "guess" would be ~ 40 games, but it really just depends.  I'd just watch (both the ball and the reaction)
