« on: April 16, 2004, 06:29:37 AM »
I would feel like a dork posting this anywhere else...  can you suggest a straight ball for me...  i am at the point where i am hooking most house balls so i really need a spare ball.  I know i am probably looking at plastic... but could someone tell me omething more specific?

If you're hooking house balls, you've almost run out of options.  However, you can pick up a NIB "plastic" or polyester ball on ebay for $9.95 + S/H.  Make sure that the ball has only the pancake weight block.

Polish the heck out of it after you get it punched.  If that still hooks too much, pay the $25 to take the lesson on how to throw the ball straight.  In fact, if you already have a ball that's not supposed to hook alot, take the lesson first.

yeah in my opinion the best ball for that is a white dot. that probably hooks the least of any plastic ball there is. the reason you might be hookin the ball is houseballs are usually scuffed up from frequent use and a white dot shouldnt hook at all except on ver very dr conditons
