Radius of gyration.....the higher it is (2.65) the longer it takes the ball to stop spinning ang get into a roll. The lower it is (2.45) the sooner the ball will start to roll. In general, balls with lower RGs are better for heavy oil as they want to roll early, but have less backend. Balls with higher RGs are better for drier shots as they roll later, and have more backend as they save more energy for the last part of the lane while the low rg ball uses up energy early in the lane as it is trying to roll quicker. Of course, they are many other variables, and this is just one of them.

The diff is the difference from the low rg to the high rg a bowling ball can have. The diff is an indicator of how much track flare a ball will produce. USBC just put an upper limit on diff of .060. A ball with a diff of .025 will have significantly less track flare than a ball at the upper limit. This also has an indication of how much a ball can hook. The larger the flare, the more the ball is trying to turn over, and vice versa.

For example, right now I will compare the Track Heat (.037 diff) vs the Rule GP2 (.052 diff). If you look at the oil rings after you throw a shot, you will notice how much closer together they are on the Heat than the GP2. The balls with less distance between rings have a lower rg, ie, the Heat.

Track flare is the oil ring around your ball. The "flare" is how much it migrates from where it starts. Closer-less distance-less Diff. Far apart-more distance-high Diff.

Yep.  And track flare is important, because with a lot of flare, more "fresh" part of the coverstock is being used.  If the ball flared very little, it would just keep spinning on the same line that already has oil on it.  With flare, the ball has fresh coverstock to react with.
