Hooking the ball?
« on: April 25, 2004, 09:58:34 PM »
Hi guys,

My hook is very inconsistent. Sometimes it hooks too much and sometimes not at all. I am going to try the football release. Do you guys have any other tips and tricks on throwing consistent strike hooks?

Thanks guys

just so you guys know, I have tried a brace and watched the video tips. I still can't come up with a decent consistent release. The wrist brace caused me to become a cranker with a very slow ball speed.

I went today and threw a 183 and a 179 my two best games yet. I just started doing what felt natural. My form isn't near the way my coach wants it though when I bowl like I did today. My elbow was slightly bent, which he won't let me do. With my elbow slightly bent my whole game gets 200% better. More revs, consistent speed and hook.

thanks again for the help Guys
