what ball should I get?

I bowl in the 160s and i put a decent amount of hook on the ball, i throw about 12-15 mph,and I would like a ball with a pretty nice hook, consistent line, works well on most oils, something I can handle, lasts a pretty long time, and something I can learn well with.

Exactly why you don't have to use the no-thumb release with today's aggressive reactive bowling balls.  They hook even without putting tons and tons of revolutions on the ball.

I don't really have any suggestions for a ball for you, any entry level ball will be fine, just pick a manufacturer that you like the most or your pro shop sells. I strongly suggest you buy your first ball from the pro shop in your area, since after buying and getting the ball drilled, you could ask your pro shop operator to get you started with the 3-finger technique.

If he doesn't want to help, you could try to get some advice from a coach or a more experienced friend.
