Thumb problem
« on: February 20, 2007, 10:52:01 AM »
Just picked up my first ball yesterday, a storm spite fire, bowled 4 games with it. The first game was good, getting used to the ball, second was better. However after that game I noticed that my thumb was swelling up. By the end of the night my thumb had swolen up to the point where it was actually hurting to release the ball. Can anybody help me with why that happened and what I can do to prevent it from happening in the future.

Does it hurt where your thumb lays on the bowling ball, at the joint on the inside of the thumb?

Take it back to the proshop guy and tell him your problem. Probably just needs some bevel.

Thats exactly what I would do because when I started throwing fingertip balls back in well along time ago I had the same problem and now I just bevel the heck out of it and it works fine and no problems at all.
