Hi All,

The Rival video is now up on my site...

http://www.videoballreviews.com/columbia300.html

Heres my take...

This ball is VERY aggressive in the midlane...almost to aggressive for my 38' THS at its OOB surface...you can see it lost some energy downlane but still hit...on the 41' 4:1 pattern you will see it show its true colors...its midlane aggression can be controlled with some more volume and its one big arc to the pocket...great agressive mid priced ball that can be a great benchmark as long as you have some volume...

Enjoy!

Nice video Bar! Did you have a chance to change the surface on the Rival? I was wonder how the ball would react with a 2000 grit surface? The ball looks very aggressive with a OOB 4000 surface. Compared to the Secret Agent, how do you compare the two with midlane read and backend?

Thanks Bowler,

Thats a good comparison...they are similar balls as in they are aggressive in the midlane and both a have smoother backend readtions...although the secret will be able to handle more oil compared to the rival with both of them being at their OOB surfaces of 4000...i feel this is due to the light particle load in the secret...

i have not tried a surface adjustment yet...if i do anything i will polish it to push it farther downlane for some shorter conditions....i dont really need it to read any earlier than what it does at 4000!
