if its from the 2005 season up to nowadays i would have some more chance of guessing right
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

It definitely highlights how much pro styles have changed. In the "old days" 7 boards was serious hook. Bear in mind, 'almost' everyone was using the same ball on their spare shots, and the prevailing wisdom was use the same swing for 1st and 2nd balls, with 'maybe' a hand/wrist position change - as in golf swings with short irons and long woods.

I think the kids have it easy now, they grow up emulating the well coached Chris and Lynda Barnes and peers. Imagine growing up trying to emulate Don Carter's or Dick Weber's release! I will admit that most of the gals through the years had better 'form' than the guys - LOL

Darned if I know how the gals could bowl in skirts in the 1950s, Marion Ladewig: http://www.youtube.com/user/BowlingOldies#play/uploads/13/Hq0Nr8AGfyE

The USBC worries about the balls changing, the thing I notice, that is the most different in today's game is the leverage and power the players bring to the lanes.

thats a good point that the "leverage" is different.. i know personally that i can take an old rubber ball sitting on the rack and cover nearly as many boards with it as i can my lower-mid performance stuff... the hit at the pins is different though
