3 quick vids, 3 different angles
« on: January 27, 2007, 12:02:13 AM »
First, let me say that these are the first videos I've shot and I had to upload them though my USB port so the quality is not as good as if they were uploaded though the 1394 port.

Videotaping myself bowling is a fantastic tool. I never though I bowled like that! I want to bowl like PDW but I look more like Steve Jaros. My bad back doesn't let me get down on the shot the way I would like to.

Rear view: http://youtube.com/watch?v=25RIW2kdT94

I can work better on...
my deliberate approach,
my speed,
getting closer to the foul line,
deeper knee bend,
keeping my hand behind the ball on my backswing

Anything else you see would be great. Thanks for watching.

Hm, you should try to move your starting possition forward about 3 fts, since you isnt near the foul line on the last step. Your pushaway is a little slow, your pushaway is on the 2nd step when it should be on the first in a 4 step approach. But i dont know how many steps you take, it looks like its 6-7 on the rear vid.

I used to take a true 4 step approach at the beginning of this season which I started in front of the dots. I switch to a 6-7-8 step approach but it's basically a 4 step with some timing steps at the beginning. I did this to generate a little more speed but with more speed, my accuracy is not as good. I tried to start at the back of the approach but this was too many steps. So I moved up a little to the back of the dots but now I end up too far behind the line.  I slowed my approach speed down for accuracy.
