Hammer Ratchet and Track Delta 1

Just note that this is only to show what reacts with the way I bowl on a Medium THS that is usually wet/dry. Usually. Critique is accepted, but this is mainly just for viewing as I am still working on a few mechanics.

Dont really get to see a lot outside of the change of direction of the ball and how it goes through the pins. I'd put the camera in a better position. The only thing i could see is that i would work harder to post the shot. When you fell of the shot, you washed out,...... everytime. The last thing you want is to be sacrificing shots. Also, it seemed like you were getting to the line too quickly contributing to loss of balance and no knee bend. But again, thats just what i can see from the angle.

Yeah, that's honestly a bad habit that came out of shortening my approach. I'm trying to work back into a 7 step instead of a 5, but it puts me so out of sync I literally cannot get to the line and lay the ball down. Haven't had enough serious time for that, and I'll be the first to say I know I'm moving too quick.

And on the different angle, I'm going to try to position the camera on a tripod, but I don't know that I can do that without putting it in the way of the rest of the league bowlers. Kind of working with the area I have for the moment.

Understand about the camera angle, maybe you could record yourself during practice. Thats when i record myself. Get a lane, me being left handed, i get the left lane so i can see everything, then start recording. As far as footwork, the more steps you add, the harder it is to keep everything sound and in control. In 5-steps your first 2 steps should be long and slow, the next 2 quick and short then slide and post. Thats what i would work on because when you balance it's there, however, when you fall off,...... disaster!

Yeah... This is a bad habit that actually got created by a coach... Who no longer comes around. And I get tired of waiting, too. I bowl on a league where I'm the youngest person, period. Everyone else is roughly twice my age at least. There are a few young guys, but the average age is about 40-50. That's no excuse, though.

Trying to make this year good, because I might be going somewhere else after this to get more experience on different shots. Over the summer bowled in another house and they put down a lot more oil than I was used to, which was a really good thing. My scores went lower at first, but towards the end of the league I got used to playing straighter and really unloaded.
