Cheetah Pattern
« on: May 27, 2007, 06:52:04 AM »
This is a video of me bowling of a modified Cheetah. I am not sure to what extent it is modified, thats just what I was told. First Ball is the smashtime pearl and second is the fired up.

Looks to me that it was modified quite a bit. All 3 houses that I bowl on a pba experience league the cheetah was not like that. That looks more like the chameleon to me. In my experience a few of the shots on the left lane wouldn't have held even with plastic. Looks like there was way more hold than normal. But that being said, it looked like you played them well, and thew some good shots. Nice vid.

I can't believe how similar your game is to Tommy Jones.

I was thinking the same thing Joe... You have definitely emulated TJ's style into your game.  I don't think that is the Cheetah pattern.  Breakpoint on that pattern is really outside of 5 to have a consistant look.

Inferno,

I noticed in this video you have a little "hop" at the end of your slide but I didn't notice it in your other vids.

Is that because of the approach or were you trying to put a little more stink on the ball?

That looks to be modified quite a bit from the typical Cheetah pattern.  A quick guess would just be added length judging by where your breakpoint was.

On a side note, good to see MJBT putting out shots other than a THS as thats what they were most of the time I bowled them.

Yeah i would have guessed that they added a some length too.
They hop is because i didnt really like the approaches and speeding my footwork up to get ball speed up.

Greate style, except the swing. It seems you are musceling it.

One of two things:

No one at that center knows how to play the cheetah

or

It isn't the cheetah.

Everyone is playing too far inside and not putting the ball out far enough. Many of your leaves were (or so it seemed) because it didn't have enough angle and almost left you a 7-10 and a baby split.
