Did Jason break any rules? Doesn't seem so.

Got in Brads head though, huh?

But REALLY? In a room filled with people, your going to let the completely ordinary sound of a water bottle being drunk out of and set back down bother you that much?

If its that easy, I'd have gotten a drink EVERY time Brad was up.

 C'MON BRAD.

If a pro is that sensitive to noise he would probably absolutely STROKE OUT on a typical league night...

how did he even make the show hell when they are qualifying they are surrounded by noise and bowlers a lane or two over also seeing others bad shots down lane and who knows what other sounds.

Its a whole different game when under the lights and everything is quiet, you get used to the silence and expect silence.  I can see Brad's point but I don't believe it really effected him directly.

It appeared to me that Belmonte was intentionally picking up his water bottle and crinkling it as Brad was either taking his first step or setting up.  If that was indeed what was happening, then I have lost all respect for Belmonte.  But then again I didn't care much for him anyway.

I guess if it gets into your opponents head, they will try anything.

This past summer was playing in a golf match play tourny, about the

first 6 holes, my opponent would put his hand into his pocket and start rattling his loose change

as i putted, about hole 7 i asked him for his loose change and gave him a dollar bill for it, he was offended

by it saying i guess that you have bionic ears, he knew what he doing from the start, poor sportsmanship.

When you lose you concentration for a second, you could make a bad shot.  If this was happening alot, then Brad was starting to get angry and probably lost his concentration for more than a second.  Yea, I can see how that could bother him.

If done on purpose, then very bad sportmanship. This is at the professional level and not some pot game.

If on purpose:  unsportsmanlike and Belmo is a dick.

Otherwise, Angelo is hypersensitive.

That's pretty much all it can be.

The best way to get even is to not let it bother you.

If Jason was doing it on purpose, or even if Brad thought he was, the best thing to do is cram about 5-6 in a row, then tell him "I love it when you do that", not have a petulant little hissy. You start striking, then let the opponent know that he has motivated you to do so, and I GUARANTEE that the behavior will cease.

I tend to root for Brad, and I'm not really a fan of Jason's, but quit blaming your inability to throw good shots on somebody else. Brad was just struggling to throw it good. That made him frustrated, and he took it out on any little thing that bothered him even slightly.

At the professional level, don't you have to be better than that?

Not a Brad Angelo fan, but I have two points.

When you watch Brad on the approach and step off and ect you can tell he is very uncomfortable and doesn't look like he wants to make the shot.(scared)

The other is in watching Jasons mannerisms from start to finish with the bottle and the way he keeps messing with it. Picking it up, and setting it down ect along with eye balling Brad on the approach.

I would say if you based it just off watching Jason it was intentional. I also think Brad was going to miss regardless. He didn't looked prepared.

Jason finger f$@ked the water bottle several times before the shot with out making a sound, and then during the approach gives it a nice death grip squeeze? Bush league.

Also don't ever compare what you do during pot games or anything else to what these guys are doing for a living on national television, it sounds that stupid. Think softball guy at a local tournament comparing himself to an MLB player during the World Series. Don't be that guy.

It looked to me like he did it on purpose as a subtle way of getting into Angelo's head. Those bottles can creak pretty loud at times, and it's especially magnified when the rest of the arena is pretty quiet.

I've always thought they should have some "white noise" or something in the arena. Sure, it might make the audio seem a little cluttered, but how many times now have we seen where a noise in the arena creates a distraction for the bowler?

if you watch the xtra frame interview they have with belmo, He says what happens and I believe him. If you watch the first time he is drinking with angelo on the approach(god forbid!) angelo steps off and regroups, then belmo goes to get a drink again(god forbid) but holds the cap and waits until angelo starts his approach to get a drink, never touches the base of the bottle jus has the cap in his hand. So in conclusion, I dont think  belmo did it intentionally. When I get nervous bowling sometimes I drink constantly picking up the glass I have...angelo through the ball like garbage all day anyways and still had a chance to win at the end if he could execute, so to blame belmo for that shot is inevitable
