i have changed a lot since my last video

i went to practice and happened to find Mark there, we chat little bit and he had a camera so we recorded little bit

in the video, i dont see my approach as the way i wanted it to be, like the backswing behind the body, the muscled release (it looks like that cuz i was trying to land the ball softer instead of lofting as i usually do)

the ball was infinite one on a ths that was freshly oiled, 41 feet and dry outside 8. didnt have my spare ball so heh dont blame me for missing the 10 pin. the infinite one was polished in one of those brunswick machines, i paid 1.25 and it killed the reaction but i find it ok for dry lanes.

if u feel that im doin something wrong in my approach, drop a line, or a wall if u find too many mistakes

PS: the video might not be ready yet, but i see it

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

I look at your video and see that you lean to the right a little bit.The arm swing wrap behind your back a little bit causing you to in a way muscle the ball.I also notice that you do not slide but plant your foot.Don't worry you are not the only one doing that.I do that myself too by planting my foot as well. One thing is to work on your arm swing keeping that straight instead of looping around your body.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

Keep your hand behind the ball.

Hmm, there's IMHO a lot to check.

First of all, what other also noticed, is your dropped shoulder. It sfifts your body's CG unnecessarily to the right, so you have balance problems at the foul line.

Second, and more important: footwork. You have very fast feet, already having done 2 steps before the ball is in the pushaway and pendulum at all. No wonder that you have to plant your shot, because your feet are much earlier at the foul line than the rest of you, including the ball. It will also be the reason why you muscle the swing with a bent elbow - to catch up with the rest of you.

Two things I'd try to work on: a more upright upper body throughout the approach and an earlier pushaway, in time with your second step (right foot moves forward). It might take the hurry out of the approach and offer you the chance to be more balanced and relaxed at the foul line.

Hope this helps, it is what I can tell from far

quote:
You have severe late timing.. you should be pushing away on your 2nd step.. and your not doing it then.. and that's causing you to catch up in the last 3, and it all goes bad after that.

Follow through a shot.. your muscling the ball alot. You obviously can't hook the ball alot so don't try yet.. your trying to really cup the ball, and your coming off the ball really bad.

Your beginning stance is really good.. nice knee bend, ball is on the side which allows for a straight arm-swing.

Work on the timing and I feel that's going to fix alot.. and don't try hooking the ball so much.. it looks like your trying to force the ball to hook.. jsut come off the ball natrually.. if you have to play straight so what? Whatever works!

heh the sad thing is, i push off with my first step (not very noticeable)

for what i want to do in the release is to have my fingers at the left of the ball and then turn it (this idea came from seein big Wes doin it) somehow i ended up with that, comming around the ball a lot!

it might seen a very forced release, but it feel ok commin off of my hand, my guess is that for that day i wanted to land the ball softer which lead to last second muscling

oh well it impressed me by not seein myself the way i wanted it to be, i will try a side view next time and i hope i can fix this timing issue
