Looking For Criticism
« on: July 17, 2011, 12:41:16 PM »
My name is Donny Wright.  I am in the Air Force and stationed at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM.  This is just a house shot on base.  My favorite ball is the Momentum Swing from Columbia 300.  I have been bowling for awhile but am still always looking for criticism.  If you all could take a look at my video, let me know what you think.  Thanks a lot!/Content/Users/39663/Files/MOV02040.MPG

Donny,

All depends on what you want to do in the future. If you plan to stay as a recreational bowler, your actually looking decent. If you want to move into the scratch area and bowl events, I suggest working on a stronger release. Also getting your swing a little tighter to your body for starters. Getting a local coach to help you with this would also be a good idea.

I would concentrate on follow through and balance. Make sure you bring your arm through every shot, hold your form until the ball crosses the mark to make sure you don't short the stroke and risk it rolling out on you from a lack of energy. That also makes sure that you have your feet set and don't bail out to the side which can affect your shot during the release.

Beyond that, you have a great looking shot, nice and pure.
