If you had a shark pattern with heavy oil, your ball would skate for that 44" and not get close to the pocket..

After watching the video, I was very impressed. He's playing a tight angled line to the pocket with a lot of consistency. There could very well be a higher volume of oil than you're giving him credit for.

thank you Steven, playing up second arrow.  Straight parralel with not much of hook and not much room for error.

P0wa: You've got to give credit where it's due, and lefty or not, you've got some skills. Again, I'm very impressed with your form and consistency.

I've bowled on enough Shark patterns (heavy and lighter patterns) to understand that what you played on could be a heavier volume.

Good luck at the European championship in aalborg. If the video is a real indication of your abilities, you'll do well.

Thanks man,  i hope i do well over there.  I worked hard for it so all i can do is do my best and we'll see what happens. On the vid you can't see realy good how consistant i am cause my mate didn't zoom in so you can't see good the arrows but when you see the vid in larger format you see clearly i'm playing straight second arrow.

Stopped bowling for six years, came back 2 seasons back and made it to the nationale team .  I never train on house shots, i got a bowlingally who fix my lanes everyday with whatever i ask so I LOVE THAT GUY lol.  Playing on houseshots i realy hate.  Every time i post here a vid people are saying no it's no cheetah no it's no scorpion no it's no shark.... every ally is diffrent, using diffrint kind of oil playin in the morning or in the evening makes it alot diffrent seems like people don't understand that

Inverted: I bowled on a heavy Shark pattern in our PBA Experience league last summer where the ball was saturated when it came back on the rack. Conversely, I bowled on Shark while subbing last week where the volume was relatively light. You're right in that there is a difference.

I felt compelled to comment because I used a line almost identical to P0wa's on the right side on the saturated Shark pattern. The ball was a highly polished Supernova XP, which I used to take any bite in the mids out of the equation.

If you're not trying to belly to ball and play tighter, P0wa's line of attack works. I threw a 700+ series playing that line, but the problem is that there is almost no room for error. If I had P0wa's consistency, I could have been more than a one week wonder using that approach.

Man, PBA patterns are trully different at different houses. If you would've thrown that same shot on our Shark pattern, you wouldn't have come close to the had pin. Especially not the the amount of speed that you throw. Yeah, I've seen guys do it, but they're throwing it a lot slower than you do in this video.
--------------------
When you've moved up, moved back, adjusted left and right, cupped, flattened out, have thrown everyting in your arsenal, and the pins still don't cooperate, just say, "Aw to HELL with it!", and throw the ball!
