Inverted: I bowled on a heavy Shark pattern in our PBA Experience league last summer where the ball was saturated when it came back on the rack. Conversely, I bowled on Shark while subbing last week where the volume was relatively light. You're right in that there is a difference.
I felt compelled to comment because I used a line almost identical to P0wa's on the right side on the saturated Shark pattern. The ball was a highly polished Supernova XP, which I used to take any bite in the mids out of the equation.
If you're not trying to belly to ball and play tighter, P0wa's line of attack works. I threw a 700+ series playing that line, but the problem is that there is almost no room for error. If I had P0wa's consistency, I could have been more than a one week wonder using that approach.
